The Alhambra of Granada, Spain

Built during the 14th century, the Alhambra or "red fortress" can be found on terrace high above the city of Granada, Spain. The palace was once the residence of Muslim rulers who lost control in 1492 to King Ferdinand II of Aragon and Queen Isabella. This view is from the Albayzin district.
