This massive jet had an increased range of 500 miles or 15,000 pounds of cargo over a normal Boeing 747, which was made possible by an extra 6,480 gallons of fuel. Only 6 of the aircraft were manufactured, all for Qantas, which uses these planes on long haul flights such as Los Angeles to Sydney, a distance of around 7,500 miles.

oceanEleven miles off the coast of Perth, Western Australia is Rottnest Island. While the island population is only 300, tourist visitors can reach into the thousands each day. The island was formerly home to a prison and an internment camp during both World Wars, and today, numerous shipwrecks can be found in the shallow waters nearby. The Quokka, a rare marsupial, remains a protected species on the island.
