content is Connecting the city of San Francisco to Marin County is the world famous Golden Gate Bridge.



Completed in 1937, it was once the longest suspension bridge in the world. The bridge measures in at 10,981 feet long, 90 feet wide, and up to 746 feet high. Alcatraz can be seen on the left side of the bay, the city of San Francisco on the right, and in the background the Bay Bridge, Oakland, and Berkeley. This view is from the Marin Headlands.

content is Eleven miles off the coast of Perth, Western Australia is Rottnest Island.



While the island population is only 300, tourist visitors can reach into the thousands each day. The island was formerly home to a prison and an internment camp during both World Wars, and today, numerous shipwrecks can be found in the shallow waters nearby. The Quokka, a rare marsupial, remains a protected species on the island.

content is In the rolling hills of Umbria, Italy, three hours north of Rome by train, lies the medieval town of Assisi.


St. Francis, was born here in 1208. He went on to found the Franciscan religious order. St. Claire was also born here in 1194. Assisi, with its two medieval castles, basilicas, and cathedrals and a population of over 26,000, is now a World Heritage Site.

This bridge that spans the East River is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. The bridge was originally named the New York and Brooklyn Bridge until 1867. In 1964, the Brooklyn Bridge become a National Historic Landmark.

At this point, the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. Lovers Beach is located on the Sea of Cortez side while Divorce Beach can be found on the Pacific side. El Arco, a distinctive rock formation, can be found at the tip of Land's End.
