This view of Honolulu, Hawaii and the Pacific is taken from 762 foot Diamond Head. Its English name was given by British sailors in the 19th century, who mistook calcite crystals for diamonds. The age of this volcanic crater is thought to be about 200,000 years. Waikiki can be seen in the center along with its resorts and beaches. Kapiolani Park can be seen in the foreground.

The stadium featured a design of 96 arches know as the "Crown of Arches," which echoed the design of the Gateway Arch. Other teams to call the stadium home were the St. Louis Cardinals and Rams NFL teams and the St. Louis Stars soccer team. Demolition of the stadium began on November 7, 2005. The Cardinals now play in a new stadium by the same name.

Spanning the Arno River in Florence, Italy is the Ponte Vecchio. This medieval bridge dates back over 1000 years, but has been rebuilt and repaired many times, such as during the 1966 floods. During World War II, the bridge was spared by the Germans, unlike other bridges in Florence. The bridge has always hosted shop owners and merchants, who display their goods on tables to potential buyers.

California's Kern River flows about 165 miles through beautiful mountains and canyons. The Kern River starts near Mount Whitney at 14,505 in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and runs south towards the city of Bakersfield where it is diverted for irrigation, and meets with the California Aqueduct. The river is very popular for activities such as whitewater rafting and fly fishing. Recreational users should stay out of the water as the flow is very dangerous and has swept many people away.
