content is Plaza Mayor, dating back to the 1600s, is a plaza located in the heart of Madrid, Spain, only a few blocks away from kilometer zero.
Originally called Plaza del Arrabal and other names since, it was not until after the Spanish Civil War that it was named Plaza Mayor. The plaza has been held events such as executions, soccer matches, public markets, and bull fights. Blood from past bull fights can still be seen on the walls of the plaza today.

The stadium has been home to the 49ers NFL team since 1971, who can be seen in this game versus the St. Louis Rams on November 16, 2008. Originally built for the San Francisco Giants baseball team, the stadium is well known for its harsh wind conditions, cold weather, and dense fog. In the past, Candlestick Park has also been known as 3Com Park at Candlestick Point and Monster Park. Future plans call for the name to be changed to Bill Walsh Field in honor of the former 49ers football coach.
