The harbor of La Condamine, the second oldest district in Monaco, can be seen here with its yachts of the rich and famous. Monaco, population 33,000, is located in southwest Europe, bordered by France and the Mediterranean Sea. The area of Monaco measures in at 0.76 square miles, making it the second smallest country in the world, after Vatican City. The average person can walk across the country in 50 to 60 minutes.

A view of the longest river in Germany, the Rhine. The river flows over 800 miles through Germany, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. The Rhine river flows here through Bacharach, Germany. This medieval town of 2,000 has a long history of war and violence, but today is a popular tourist destination for its wines, castles, and spectacular views. The river is a major European transportation artery, as seen by the tanker ship.

A view of the pier, beach, and hills of Avalon, located on Santa Catalina Island, twenty six miles off the coast of Southern California. This popular tourist destination is home to about 3,500 residents. Most of the million tourists that visit the island each year arrive by ship, ferry, or plane. The Carnival Elation cruise ship can be seen docked in the background. Wildlife such as American bison and the endangered island fox can be found roaming the island.

A beautiful sunrise can be seen off the coast of Cozumel, Mexico. The 300 square mile island is located in the Caribbean Sea just off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula and about 25 miles south of Cancun. Cozumel is generally flat, with a maximum elevation of about 50 feet. The majority of income for the island comes from fishing, diving, and tourism as cruise ships can be seen docking almost daily. While food and supplies need to be shipped to the island, over 100 restaurants, two universities, and a saltwater treatment plant can be found directly on the island.

This view of Washington D.C. is taken from a top a hill located in Arlington National Cemetery. The grave in the foreground belongs to Pierre Charles L'Enfant, the designer and architect of the city of Washington. The cemetery, located on the Potomac River, is the final resting place of more than 290,000 veterans, military casualties, and other notable civilians. John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy are two of the most famous who are buried in the cemetery. The Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and United States Capitol can be seen in the background.
